Pit Bull Terrier - Medium - Young - Male - Dog - Crosby

NickNames: "Crosby Stills and Nash" "Jumperoo" Pet Peeves: "Rainy Days and Sundays always get me down"..... cuz' I can't get outside and run with my brothers and sisters. My Story: Crosby was "saved" when a kind Police Officer saved his life and brought him into a local ER Vet Clinic. The officer knew the alternative. Take him to the local animal shelter, have him identified as a Pit Bull mix and inevitably face death with out a chance at life. Crosby has been in his foster home for a couple of months now. Where he has adapted WONDERFULLY! He has not met a dog or cat he didn't like. And there are many in his foster home. Crosby is also very fond of the little girl (who is 12-months old) who lives there, too. He is gentle with children and extremely well behaved around the other dogs and the already establish canine hierarchy. Crosby would be an ideal pet for an active family or single. He loves running in the back yard and enjoys a walk in the neighborhood. Crosby is truly a "people pleaser" and loves being with his people as well as his canine and feline brothers and sisters. Crosby doesn't have a lot of Pit Bull characteristics but we can tell he is mixed some how. He is somewhat passive and is fine to have some one else take the lead role. He definately is a follower and would be great around more assertive dogs as well as dogs that are similar to him. His personality in the canine world is different that his expression of energy outside. He's not the kind of dog to sit around. He likes to "veg" every once in a while and usually its on the couch at night with another canine friend. Crosby is kennel trained and house trained. He will go to the back door when he needs to potty. Crosby would really excel in canine agility training. He can jump straight up atleast 6 ft from a standing position and runs like a deer (its a sight to see!!) and really seems interested in the frisbee. Although his foster family does not have agilty experience, they feel he is extreamly smart and could excel and most any type of training. Kind of like the Border Collie's agility experience and keen ability for training.
